River City Grotto President Scott Thompson rounded up the gang to head south once again on October 18, 2025 to the Withlacoochee Forest for a visit a couple more of his childhood caves. The one cave was closed due to a rockfall. However, thanks to the hard work of Tampa Bay Grotto, it is open again. Thanks to Derik and Billy Penkava who showed everyone the way through the labyrinth of underground passages.

This was in an old quarry that has grown over. One of the caves was found when a bulldozer fell through the earth, creating the entrance. The driver was unhurt but needed a new set of underwear.

Yes, the rockfall was cleared, but it still requires a bit of squeezing and gymnastics to enter.

Passages opened up inside. This cave is constantly changing due to large water intakes and soft rock. The entire group was warry of touching ceilings.

The cable ladder may have not been needed, in this Big Mouth of an entrance, but it was fun and exciting to try.

The best two Radar Hill Caves were visited which made for an awesome day.
